Forum > Server-side Programming Languages > Topic Server-side Programming Languages Forumspliting PHP statslenzai on 21 October 2011, 14 years ago Hello, I d like to know what share of php website does not use cms and how do they rank in terms of traffic. Do you have that data available online ? If not can you share raw data so that I can compute numbers myself ? thanks Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 22 October 2011, 14 years ago Hello lenzai, That is a very good idea. I see your point that it makes a difference whether some webmaster installed WordPress and uses it out-of-the box, without even thinking that it's written in PHP vs. someone who actually writes PHP code. Give us a bit of time to see how we could make such an evaluation, and how to possibly integrate it in our surveys. Considering the fact that only 28% of the sites use one of the CMS's that we monitor, it won't change the server-side language distribution dramatically, but still, it would be interesting. I'm sorry, we don't give away our raw data. Marc Laporte on 26 October 2011, 14 years ago Hi! It's also interesting to see the evolution/trend from custom PHP to CMS Best regards, M ;-) Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 13 December 2011, 14 years ago You can see that figure here (although, no trend): web technology fact of the day Furkan Khan on 7 February 2012, 13 years ago Please add php framework popularity / usage stats. Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 10 February 2012, 13 years ago We do investigate frameworks, but detecting the usage of frameworks is much more difficult than server-side languages or CMS's. We might add that in the future, but at the moment we feel that framework surveys would not be as reliable as we want them to be. You need to be logged in to reply. |
