W3Techs ForumSuggestion: eCom Productsvolomike on 21 October 2011, 14 years ago Can you review eCommerce (eCom) products (product catalogs with shopping carts) like you do content management systems? I would find this information very valuable. Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 22 October 2011, 14 years ago Hello volomike, Thank you for sharing that idea. That is actually on our to-do list. We are still thinking about what would be the best definition of "e-commerce technologies". Is a pure product catalog really an e-commerce technology, or just a CMS? Your example of shopping cart solutions certainly belong to this category, and so are online payment systems, but what else? Is an Amazon widget e-commerce? A PayPal button? A Flattr button? Where do we draw the line? I'm not saying there is no good answer to these questions, I'm just saying we haven't found it yet. Any input is welcome. You need to be logged in to reply. |
