Forum > Operating Systems > Topic Operating Systems ForumUnknown?Journalist on 4 May 2017, 8 years ago Hi
A fairly large share of the operating systems in the Unix-category is listed as unknown along the other OS's such as the Linux-ones. Would it be fair to assume, that a fairly large amount of the Unknown category is also Linux-based OS's? Or are they definetly not Linux-OS's? Best regards Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 4 May 2017, 8 years ago The "unknown Unix" sites can indeed be Linux-based. We often come to the conclusion that a sites uses Unix/Linux because we detect other technologies that run only on those platforms. Looking at the statistics we can indeed assume that the majority of those "unknown Unix" servers run Linux, but we can't be sure. You need to be logged in to reply. |
