W3Techs ForumTechnology proposal: Show lists of Languages, Libraries, etc. in the order of usage changeazriel on 5 April 2017, 8 years ago Currently they are shown in the order of their market share use ("Usage"), in descending order. Even though this is useful, I think this does not give you the feeling of how the market changes over time. To see if a usage of a particular language or library goes up or down, and by how much (historic trend), you have to click on each individual item, one by one. It would be great if you could also show a list of languages/libraries in the order of their % market share change, so that we could see right away which ones grow the fastest, and which ones stagnate of even go down. For example, in JavaScript libraries, MooTools is used by 4.1% of sites (#4 in the list), while AngularJS is used by 0.6% (#9). But if you look at their historic trend, AngularJS changed from 0.3% to 0.41% - approximately +37%, while MooTools changed from 3.7% to 3.1%, -16%. I think it is very useful to see not only the current market position of an item compare to others, but also how this position is changing compare to others.
