Forum > Content Management Systems > Topic Content Management Systems ForumJoomla Versions not Showing?Robert V on 9 December 2014, 11 years ago I rely on your data each month to show a chart of Historical Trends. This has only been shared privately with a few key members of the Joomla developer community, but it's a great way to keep up with what version of Joomla is being used the most. I see today that Joomla Versions are missing from the Joomla page. Is this a short term error, or will you now remove versions from Joomla stats? https://w3techs.com/technologies/details/cm-joomla Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 14 December 2014, 11 years ago Hi Robert, We had to remove the Joomla version statistics. The problem was that the version information that is readily supplied by Joomla installations via the generator tag is not reliable enough, and more advanced methods such as retrieving Joomla configuration files are considered as too much snooping by some webmasters. Sorry about that. Robert V on 5 January 2015, 11 years ago Thanks so much for taking the time to respond Sam. Sorry to see this data removed, but all of your work you provide freely is a great help to a lot of people. Thanks again for your work! You need to be logged in to reply. |
