Forum > Content Management Systems > Topic Content Management Systems ForumTechnology proposal: JomatuKevin on 25 October 2013, 12 years ago Homepage: http://www.jomatu.com Jomatu is a new content management system designed specifically for non-technical website owners who want to manage their own website content. Jomatu is entirely browser-based and so doesn't require any software downloading or installation, and doesn't require any knowledge of HTML or programming languages, making it ideal for the non-technical. The technology of Jomatu itself is based around JavaScript, PHP and TinyMCE and uses FTP to remotely edit web pages. There aren't that many content management systems that use this approach, and what makes Jomatu even more unique is that (a) it doesn't require any prior marking-up of the web page HTML (e.g. adding a specific class to HTML elements you want to denote as editable), and (b) it also works with most web pages that incorporate server-side and client-side code. I created Jomatu principally to provide an easy-to-use solution for my own web clients who want some basic content management that they can use without the need for prior training. During development, I took the decision to make it generally available online to all website owners, not just my web clients.
