Forum > Web Servers > Topic Web Servers ForumVarnishhuayra on 30 March 2013, 12 years ago Varnish Cache has become the de-facto HTTP delivery engine for high performance web infrastructure. Started as a project internally at VG.no (online branch of Norway's biggest newspaper) in 2005, open sourced/released in 2006, it has since been adopted by many of the biggest sites in the web. Its users include Facebook, Twitter, NYTimes, Wikipedia, Vimeo and more than 500.000 other sites. We should include it in the Web Server overview. Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 30 March 2013, 12 years ago Thank you for that proposal. We will investigate whether Varnish can be included in that specific survey.
