Recently, we've removed the version information from the meta tag "generator" and were wondering if that would impact your crawler or the ranking. The meta tag used to include the version information like the following, <meta name="Generator" content="XpressEngine 1.4.5.7" /> But now, the version information is removed and it's only got the name, <meta name="Generator" content="XpressEngine" /> Sam Soltano (site administrator) on 12 June 2012, 13 years ago Hi Nagoon, Don't worry, our site analyzer is robust enough to deal with that. The only thing is that we will over-report old versions if we can't recognize the versions of new installs. Perhaps it's the best to disable version reporting for XpressEngine, as it might be misleading. You need to be logged in to reply. |
