So I wonder why netcrafts has been putting IIS2 from Microsoft the secondest, the closest ever to Apache. Surely  there must be a different aproach from yours. Any thoughts?

The main difference is probably that Netcraft uses a different sample sets. Note the huge difference between "all sites" and "active sites" in their statistics. See our FAQ for an explanation and justification of our approach.
